Five-time world champion in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Today, the Mexican Marco Beltrán assumes a fundamental role in the Mexico Fight League (MFL).) as a matchmaker, responsible for identifying and promoting future star fighters. His work is reminiscent of that of the lanist in ancient Rome, who chose and prepared the gladiators who would shine in the sand.
Originally from Mexico City, but Michoacan by adoption, Beltrán has earned a place of respect in the MMA community thanks to his international career and his commitment to the development of the sport. From Barcelona, the city where he lives, he shares his conviction in the project:
“I have been in many leagues, I have been an active competitor for more than 20 years in the sport, The same one that I am still developing now as an MFL matchmaker, trying to give light and quality to the project and to the event that will take place next Saturday, September 6,” said Beltrán.

In his analysis, the former fighter points out that MMA leagues in the region have fallen into practices that take the sport away from its roots:
“Nowadays, The leagues have been prostituted quite a bit, in the form of saying:'if you don't recommend a boy with an undefeated record I'm not going to put him in a fight, because we want to position him to put him in the UFC'. We want to recover the essence of MMA: to give good fights, without filters other than talent and discipline.”
For Marco Beltran, The success of a fighter should not be measured solely by followers on social networks or because of a striking physique, but because of his talent, discipline and values:
”We want to end that dynamic and return to the true spirit of MMA: fighters who want to go up and compete in a current Roman Coliseum. Our lineup is just that: authentic confrontations that thrill fans.”
Beltrán's goal as an MFL matchmaker is clear: build a platform that allows fighters —both amateur and professional— to develop and earn their place in the octagon.

”You may be the best in the gym, but if there's nowhere to compete, you're not going to do anything. We want to promote children, give them space to grow, but above all to instill discipline and values. At MFL, positions are not given away: everyone earns their place.”
With this leadership, Mexico Fight League reaffirms its mission to recover the essence of MMA and to become the true home of the Latin American warrior.
